Donate to help Japan... and a funny musician...

First, I've donated $25 (about all I can spare just now) to the American Red Cross, to help them recoup the money they've donated to the Japanese Red Cross to help those struck by the weekend's tsunami.

I wholeheartedly encourage you to do the same.

If, for whatever reason, you don't trust the Red Cross (and there are those who don't), Doctors Without Borders is also on the scene and could use your help.

I also donated $25 to Tom Smith, who found himself hard up against it financially in the current economy. He says he's on firmer footing now, but if you haven't already donated, it won't hurt to chip in some to support one of the most prolific funny music men of our times. He could still use it, and the less he has to worry about money, the stranger music he produces...
